K12 Education

K12 Education

K-12 educators are licensed by the state they work in to teach in any grade K-12. Elementary teachers, middle school teachers, and high school teachers all must receive this certification in order to teach. However, in some circumstances additional certifications or training must also be completed. For example, high school teachers are often required to complete special certifications in a subject area such as math, science, English, or a foreign language.
